The President of Armenia's National Assembly met with his Portuguese Counterpart

In Dublin, the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, met with the President of the Assembly of the Portuguese Republic, Augusto Santos Silva. The sides underlined the positive dynamics of contact between the two countries at multilateral platforms and the development of bilateral relations in the recent period.

The parties discussed the situation in the region and the problems of gross violation of the rights of the Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians. The Portuguese colleague said he was deeply aware of the situation and expressed condolences to the victims' relatives. He expressed his readiness to assist in alleviating the problem and finding solutions.

At the end of the meeting, the President of Armenia's National Assembly invited his Portuguese colleague to visit Armenia.
