Meeting between the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia and the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Portuguese Communities of the Assembly of the Portuguese Republic

On January 13, 2026, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Portuguese Republic Boris Sahakyan met with Mr. José Cesário, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Portuguese Communities of the Assembly of the Portuguese Republic.

The interlocutors stressed the role of parliamentary diplomacy in advancing the bilateral agenda, emphasizing in this context the importance of effective cooperation of friendship groups established in both parliaments.

Ambassador Sahakyan emphasized that Armenia consistently continues ambitious reforms aimed at democratic development. During the meeting, Ambassador Sahakyan presented the results of the Washington Peace Summit, as well as the achievements of the Armenia-European Union partnership on the strategic agenda.
