General information

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Portuguese Republic were established on 25 May 1992.

Оn 6 May 2014, Ma՛rio Godinho de Matos, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Portuguese Republic to Armenia (residence in Moscow), presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan.

On 2 March 2000, Eduardo Machado was appointed Honorary Consul of Armenia in Portugal (residence in Porto).

On May 4 2000, Mikayel Giulbenkian was appointed Honorary Consul of Armenia in Portugal (residence in Lisbon).
